What to look for
Scammers use modified Telegram clients, virtual camera drivers, and deepfake injection tools to send stolen videos as genuine round video notes:
Scammers inject stolen clips into Telegram using PC emulator virtual cameras (ManyCam, OBS). Look for static framing, pixelated aspect crops, and missing device motion.
A real person can touch their nose, hold up 4 fingers, or say your name. A scammer playing a stolen loop will make excuses or send generic replies.
If an AI face swap was applied to pre-recorded footage, moving hands in front of the face causes severe warping around the fingers and eyes.
Circular video notes recorded live on a phone have tight audio-visual sync. Injected scam loops frequently exhibit 200–500ms voice desync.
