Telegram is the global ground zero for sophisticated romance and investment scams ("Pig Butchering" / Sha Zhu Pan). Scammers migrate victims from dating apps to Telegram because of its end-to-end encryption, disposable handles, self-destructing media, and complete lack of identity verification. Criminal syndicates deploy AI-generated profile photos, deepfake voice notes, and automated task-bot scripts.
Signs to look for
1Immediate migration from dating apps to Telegram
Within 3 to 5 messages on Tinder or Hinge, they claim they "rarely check this app" and insist on chatting exclusively on Telegram.
2Disposable premium usernames & zero mutual groups
Profiles purchased on underground markets with high-value aesthetic handles but zero mutual groups or authentic contact history.
3Unsolicited investment screenshots & task channel invites
Sharing fabricated MT5 crypto screenshots or inviting you to earn daily income by rating YouTube videos or hotel bookings.

Telegram syndicate bot & voice architecture
- Mtproto automation: Industrial scrapers run thousands of automated sessions mimicking real users via userbot scripts (Telethon / Pyrogram).
- Stolen influencer assets: High-resolution photos scraped from international social platforms are mirrored across dozens of burner accounts.
- Real-time live voice changers: Male boiler room operators use AI voice modulation models (RVC) to send female voice notes.
Frequently asked questions
Why do romance scammers always want to switch to Telegram?
Telegram allows users to edit or delete both sides of a conversation with zero audit trail, register accounts on virtual burner VoIP numbers, and send self-destructing media without triggering fraud filters.
Can you verify someone real identity using their Telegram username?
A Telegram username alone does not guarantee identity. Sealed Rose performs multi-vector forensic checks on their photos, voice notes, and phone carrier to establish biometric legitimacy.
