Raya prides itself on an exclusive committee-approved membership for creatives, celebrities, and executives. However, black-market account sellers trade verified Raya logins. Impersonators and con artists buy these accounts, link spoofed Instagram handles, and use AI voice notes and deepfake video filters to deceive high-net-worth members.
Signs to look for
1Instagram feed disconnect
The linked Instagram account has high follower counts but near-zero comment engagement, or the account changed its handle recently.
2Unsolicited financial or startup pitches
After establishing romantic chemistry, they pitch private venture rounds, luxury watch consignments, or crypto hedge funds.
3Virtual camera artifacts on video calls
If you video call, their face exhibits minor jittering around the jawline or edge blurring when their hand passes across their face.

Raya infiltration vectors
- Black-market session takeovers: Dormant approved accounts are bought and modified with fake photos.
- Virtual camera face-swapping: Attackers use OBS Virtual Camera with real-time face-swap software to project a celebrity or influencer likeness onto a live video call.
